Starting from October 20, Vietnamese agencies, organisations and citizens will not have to pay costs of registering for and using e-identification accounts created by the electronic identification and authentication system.

Accordingly, Vietnamese citizens or foreigners entering Viet Nam aged 14 years or older are eligible to be granted e-identification accounts. For those who are under 14 years old or are under guardianship, the registration shall be made via e-identification accounts of their fathers, mothers or guardians.

Also, agencies and organisations established or registering to operate in Viet Nam are eligible subjects.

In order to register for e-identification accounts, citizens download and install the e-identification app (VNEID) launched by the Ministry of Public Security and follow the app's request.
