The Da Nang chapter of the National Steering Committee 389 on Anti-smuggling, Counterfeit Goods and Trade Fraud on Wednesday issued a plan to strengthen the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods on border lines, and sea and inland areas citywide.

Accordingly, the member units of the city’s Steering Committee 389, based on their assigned functions and tasks, will increase their inspections and strictly control export/import activities and the transport of goods at border gates, seaports, sea areas, and inland areas in the locality.

The process of organisation and implementation must be strictly ensured, and implemented openly and transparently, in accordance with the provisions of the law in order not to affect or hinder import-export, business and transportation activities. The focus will be on strictly prohibiting all acts of covering up, abetting and protecting acts of smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods.

At the same time, the member units will regularly exchange, coordinate and share information so as to promptly handle violations, regularly update information, and promote the publicity of the laws to residents and businesses.
