Exciting tree planting festival in Da Nang
On Friday morning (the sixth day of Tet), the Ngu Hanh Son District Authority in Da Nang launched the annual New Year tree planting festival at the K20 inland waterway wharf.

Accordingly, ten 2-4 tall shade trees were planted in front of the reception house of the K20 inland waterway wharf to create shade, landscape and serve tourism.
On the occasion, the Ngu Hanh Son District Authority called on all levels, branches, units, localities, schools and armed units to actively respond to the tree planting movement in the spirit of thrift in a bid to protect the environment, combat climate change and natural disasters, and build green and beautiful landscapes, thereby contributing to developing the district comprehensively and sustainably.

Chairman of the Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee Nguyen Hoa remarked that the launching of the tree planting festival on the first working day after Tet break was a beauty of the district.
He also highlighted the significance of the planting of trees on the land of K20 rich in revolutionary traditions for the whole district to start a new working year with strong determination and great efforts so to successfully fulfill its assigned tasks.
Also on the same day, the Khue My Ward Authority in Ngu Hanh Son District planted trees in the campus of the Bac My An memorial stele house for martyrs.

The Son Tra-Ngu Hanh Son Forest Ranger Division in collaboration with the Da Nang Biotechnology Center grew 50 bodkin and ‘than mat’ (scientifically known as Millettia nigrescens Gagnep) trees in the campus of the division to overcome the consequences of heavy rain and landslides occurred on October 14, 2022 and create landscape and environment in the Son Tra Peninsula.
