Naval High Command Zone 3 conducts rescue of 13 fishermen from adrift boat off Da Nang Coast
At 8:30 am on Monday, the High Command of Naval Zone 3 sent its ship 371 to conduct rescue of 13 fishermen off an adrift and distressed boat off Da Nang coast in extreme weather and sea conditions.
Boat QNa 91559 from Quang Nam Province reported being adrift after its fuel tank was punctured at 0:00am on Monday while operating at 33 nautical miles northeast of Ly Son Island or 72 nautical miles southeast of Da Nang Coast.
The High Command of Naval Zone 3 was alerted to help stranded fishermen at sea by the boat’s captain as he sought urgent assistance after no vessels were found operating around his distressed boat.
Ship 371 is expected to reach the distressed fishing boat to pick up all stranded fishermen, and they will be brought back to the mainland safely while their fishing boat will be towed back. Currently, all fishermen are in stable health conditions.
