Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Binh, the owner of a breakfast restaurant on Hai Phong Street in Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District said that the number of orders, both directly and via electronic applications, was very high from early morning, increasing by 200- 300% compared to weekday, mainly students and workers.

At eateries and restaurants, the number of visitors also increased dramatically when the beginning of the year was the opportunity for meetings and get-togethers after the Tet holiday.

In order to enhance service, the shops have recruited more staff and increased the number of tables to meet the needs of customers after Tet. Not only crowded eateries and restaurants, but also at beverage shops serving coffee and iced tea, there were also a large number of visitors coming in and out.

Many café located near offices and schools were full with customers, but the price of drinks did not go up. In some areas with a large number of students and workers, such as Hoa Khanh Nam and Hoa Khanh Bac wards in Lien Chieu District, food service prices have increased by 5-10% through surveys.

The reason is that the prices of food and raw materials after Tet remain at a higher level than on weekdays. In particular, the price of fruit and vegetables increased sharply at about 15-30%. Regardless of this fact, the number of visitors to these venues was still very crowded.
