Da Nang’s leaders will always create favourable conditions for local youth to develop and improve their qualifications, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh made the affirmation at a dialogue ‘Da Nang youth voluntarily join hands in building new-style rural areas and urban civilised culture in 2024’ held on Tuesday with youth delegates.

The dialogue is held annually, aimed at helping the city leaders listen to suggestions and recommendations of young people and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles to promote their role in boosting the local socio-economic development activities and building a strong Youth Union organisation.

During the event, youth delegates presented more than 10 opinions, recommendations and proposals to the city leaders, with focuses on building new-style rural areas and urban civilisation, and protecting the environment. Opinions were received and discussed directly at the programme by representatives of leaders of relevant departments and agencies, and localities.

Chairman Chinh highly praised the opinions, suggestions and recommendations raised at the dialogue, and high sense of responsibility of the youth in building new-style rural areas and urban civilised culture.

He said happily that, in recent years, the appearance of the city has greatly changed. Also, the life and intellectual level of locals have been improved, creating a significant change in people's awareness and actions in building new-style rural areas and forming a cultural and civilised urban lifestyle.

He attributed all these positive results to the great efforts and determination of the entire political system, and the significant contribution of the city's youth.

The city leader asked local government departments, agencies, branches and localities to effectively implement the municipal People's Council-issued Resolution on developing youth movements during the 2021-2030 period.

Especially, heed should be on regularly creating a healthy environment for young people to develop, strengthening the organisation of cultural - artistic, physical training - sports activities, and investing in facilities to meet the needs and aspirations of Youth Union members and young people.

On the occasion, the municipal Youth Union gave the medal "For the Young Generation" to 48 individuals who have made positive contributions to the work of the Youth Union - Association - Team over the past time.
