Senior Lieutenant Dang Ngoc Lam, a member of Police Advisory Team of the Advisory Office of the Da Nang Department of Public Security, is one of the typical example in following Uncle Ho's six teachings for people's police force thanks to his enthusiasm and dedication, and his creativity and innovation, to work.

After graduating from the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting, Dang Ngoc Lam was assigned to work at the Da Nang Department of Public Security and experienced many professional fields such as investigating and handling the causes of fires and explosion; approval and acceptance work on fire prevention and fighting at the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department; and police advisory work at the city's Police Advisory Department.

During his work, Senior Lieutenant Dang Ngoc Lam always concentrates on preserving moral qualities and lifestyle, and regularly following Uncle Ho's six teachings for people's police force. He is reported to do dare to bear responsibility and voluntarily work overtime to meet professional requirements.

The young man said that he always uphold political ideals and pure moral qualities; as well as researched, studied, cultivated knowledge, and improved professional qualifications to successfully complete advisory work and other assigned tasks.

In particular, he has already advised the Party Committee and the command of the unit to effectively carry out fire prevention and fighting, and rescue operations in the city.

The year 2023 marked an important milestone in the field of fire prevention and rescue for the city's police force when they continuously conducted peak inspections, and reviewed fire prevention and fighting and rescue operations in the city.

With his functions and duties, Senior Lieutenant Dang Ngoc Lam directly and proactively advised the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and the leaders of the Advisory Department to replicate models "Fire prevention and safety inter-family group" and "Public fire fighting point", inspect and guide households to ensure fire safety, and encourage families to equip portable fire extinguishers and arrange a second escape route.

With good initiatives and timely advice and direction, Da Nang is the first locality in the country to conduct the peak inspections and complete directions by the Government, Ministry of Public Security and the municipal People's Committee on fire prevention and fighting 6 months ahead of schedule.

During the peak periods, Senior Lieutenant Dang Ngoc Lam and his colleagues built 1,959 models of "Public Fire Fighting Points" and 545 models of "Fire Prevention and Safety Inter-family Group "; organized 1,339 propaganda and training sessions on fire prevention and fighting skills for 100% of household in the city; and mobilized 240,261 families to equip portable fire extinguishers.

Major Ho Dinh Tri, Secretary of the Youth Union organisation of the Da Nang Department of Public Security, said that regarding new and difficult things, Senior Lieutenant Dang Ngoc Lam always spent a lot of time researching, learning, and taking advantage of collective intelligence to complete assigned tasks well. Lam has aroused a sense of responsibility, living for the community, contributing to enhancing the noble image of the police force serving the people.

In 2023, Senior Lieutenant Dang Ngoc Lam won the title of "Grassroots Emulation Soldier". He was one of the 10 young people of the Department of Public Security to be honoured with "Typical Outstanding Youth of Da Nang Police" Award. He also received a Certificate of Merit by the Minister of Public Security for outstanding achievements in response to climate change, natural disaster prevention, search and rescue and civil defence of the People's Public Security force.
