Delivering his speech at a ceremony held on Thursday to launch the emulation movement "Da Nang joins hands to build new-style rural areas in the 2023-2025 period", municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh suggested Hoa Vang to be proactive and self-reliant in building new-style rural areas.

He also stressed the need for the suburban district to mobilise social resources, especially strongly promoting the role of the district's residents in implementing the criteria for building new-style rural areas in the 2023-2025 period.

According to a report released by the municipal Party Committee's Mass Mobilisation Board, after more than 10 years of implementation, the new-style rural area movement received enthusiastic response and active involvement of local people, giving a facelift to the district.

Till date, all 11 communes in the district have met new-style rural standards. Five out of the 11 communes have met advanced new-style rural standards. Eight out of the 11 communes have been recognised as 5^th-grade urban areas.

By 2025, 100% of communes in the district will meet advanced new-style rural standards, with at least 5 communes meeting advanced new-style rural commune standards. Hoa Vang District will become a town by 2025, with average income per capita reaching VND85 million per year.
