Careful preparation for DIFF 2024 finale
Giving directions at the Thursday meeting to check the preparatory works for the grand finale of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh requested related agencies and units to closely follow the plan to ensure the success of the forthcoming event.

The focus should be on guaranteeing food safety and hygiene, security and order, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation before, during and after the final competition night, he noted.
The city leader agreed with the city police's proposals on guide cars for invited guests during the final night, and rewards for the municipal Department of Culture and Sports in recognition of their great efforts in organising the festival.
According to a report from the Department of Culture and Sports, the preparation for the art programme on the final competition has been already completed and the programme will be broadcast live on VTV1. In addition, the two finalists are ready for the final night.
To meet the growing needs of tourists, Sun Group has already installed additional 1,600 seats to the south of the DIFF stands. Up to now, all DIFF tickets for the final competition night on July 13 have been sold out, and the grandstand occupancy rate is expected to be 100%.

During the final competition night, accommodation establishments citywide are forecast to serve an estimate of 90,017 guests, of which international guests are expected to be about 30,970, and domestic guests are likely to number about 59,047.
The hotel room capacity is expected to reach about 95%, of which that in 4-5 star hotels is estimated at about 80-85%, and that in hotels of 3 stars or less and equivalent is likely to be about 90-95%. The capacity of cruise ships is predicted to be 100%.

Also on the afternoon of the same day, Chairman Chinh visited, presented gifts and gave spiritual encouragement to Chinese and Finnish fireworks teams before the final night of DIFF 2024.
He congratulated the two teams on beating other rivals to be present at the finale on July 13. He voiced his high expectations for the upcoming performances, hoping that the two teams will prepare thoughtfully and thoroughly to bring the audience the most satisfying and classy fireworks shows.

Representatives of the Chinese and Finnish fireworks teams thanked the city leader for his special attention, saying that they would try their best to bring the highest quality performances. At the same time, the two teams hoped to have the opportunity to return to DIFF in the following years.
