During her meeting with Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong on Friday, Mrs. Kim Aesook, Deputy Governor in charge of Foreign Affairs of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the Republic of Korea, expressed her impression of the city's modern and dynamic growth.

The Korean visitor voiced her hope that Jeju and Da Nang will not only cooperate effectively in the fields of tourism, investment and trade, and agriculture and fisheries, but also expand cooperation in new industries that the two sides have strengths.

In reply, Vice Chairman Cuong expressed his delight at the fruitful results of the cooperation programmes between Da Nang Jeju over the past year.

He also thanked the leaders of Jeju Province for creating conditions for Da Nang to attend the 2023 Jeju International Future Generation Forum (JIFF) and the 19^th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity, thereby, contributing to tightening the friendship and cooperation between the two localities.

Vice Chairman Cuong suggested the two sides focus on more effectively implementing committed areas such as tourism, investment, trade and agriculture - fisheries; as well as organise more cultural exchange activities to further deepen people-to-people diplomacy activities between the two localities.

He took the opportunity to invite the delegation of Jeju Province to attend the Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities 2025 slated to take place in Da Nang from January 15 - 17, 2025.
