Accordingly, patient H.T.Q, 55, residing in Da Nang had undergone a Coil intervention to embolize the cerebral aneurysm in 2021 due to a ruptured carotid aneurysm.
Most recently, the patient experienced a severe headache again, so he came to the Family General Hospital for examination.
After performing an MRI scan of the brain, the doctors found that the patient had multiple bilateral internal carotid aneurysms, and the aneurysms were at high risk of rupture. Recognising that this was a complicated case, and the patient had many underlying diseases such as high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, and sinus tachycardia, the hospital invited doctors from the 108 Military Central Hospital to participate in the treatment consultation.
The medical team then decided to place two stents to reverse the flow into the two carotid arteries to completely treat the aneurysms in the patient's brain. After 2 days of intervention, the patient recovered his health, his headache significantly improved and he was discharged from the hospital.
