The site is very inviting to domestic and foreign visitors thanks to its fresh air and peaceful atmosphere with amazing mountains, charming rivers. and beautiful bamboo trees.

The Thai Lai eco-tourism site is now home to the 300-year-old Thai Lai Village Communal House which was recognised as the city-level historical and cultural relic site in 2010. The house boasts the special cultural characteristics of a Vietnamese rural village.

One of the highlights of the site is the over 200-year-old Tich Thien Duong ancient house which features the time-honoured 3-compartmented structure seen in rural Vietnamese villages in the past, along with east and west-facing rooms designed by the ancient oriental architecture.

Covering an area of about 3,500m2, the ancient house is surrounded by lush green paddy fields, and beautiful bamboo trees.

It was entirely made of jackfruit wood by the highly skilled craftsmen from the renowned Kim Bong carpentry village in neighbouring Quang Nam Province in 3 years.

The house still keeps intact some of the unique architectural characteristics of a Vietnamese ancient traditional house, including sophisticated carving patterns and moss-covered roof. In addition, many old utensils are kept in the house, such as a flour mill, rice mortar, cake mold, and coal iron. These items reflect the rural life in the past.

Apart from the 3-compartment house, its owner develops an around 5,000m2 fruit-laden orchard in the Thai Lai Village.

Stepping into the Thai Lai eco-tourism site, visitors like going back to the childhood when they immerse themselves in the green and poetic space of the river village.

Currently, the Da Nang authorities are planning to develop a Han River - Tuy Loan - Thai Lai tour to diversify the city’s inland waterway tourism services.

In an attempt to increase visitor arrivals in the Thai Lai eco-tourism site, and the namesake village as a whole, the Hoa Vang District authorities are appealing for more domestic and foreign investment into the building of cuisine and entertainment areas, and homestays in the village.

Besides, tours to enjoy memorable boating experience and fruit-laden orchards in Thai Lai Village will be launched.
