An exciting array of events and activities planned for Tet Festival
The Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports has planned a number of exciting events and activities to welcome in the Lunar New Year 2022 celebrating the year of Tiger and celebrate the 92nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.
All Da Nang citizens, ex-pats and visitors will be treated to a wide range of highly joyful and jubilant cultural events.
On January 22 to 23, the Da Nang Museum will host Tet Market where you can explore 15 booths displaying traditional Vietnamese products, experience making jams and cakes for Tet, buy decorative home accessories for Tet, and enjoy Ao Dai (Viet Nam's traditional dress) fashion shows and a photo contest about Ao Dai.
Between January 26 and February 10, the 2022 Spring Newspaper Festival and exhibition featuring 50 photographic works will take place at the Da Nang General Science Library, 46 Bach Dang.
From January 28 to February 14, three movies namely ‘The hundred billion key’ by 89s Group in collaboration with Korean manufacturer - Orange Films, ‘The Listener’ which is a Canadian sci-fi drama series centered around the character Toby Logan, and “Super Hero’ will be screened at Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu.
On January 31 (Lunar New Year's Eve), an arts programme performed by artistes from the Trung Vuong Theatre to ring in the Lunar New Year 2022 will be broadcasted live over the internet.
From February 1-10 (the 1st to 10th days of the first lunar month), visiting the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum will allow visitors to experience printing tiger paintings, writing and decorating Tet greeting cards, colouring tiger pictures, acting like painter.
In the afternoon of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th days of the first lunar month, the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong (Classical drama) Theatre will stage such dramas as Ngao So Oc Hen, Reverse Wave, Tran Binh Trong. From the 6th day of the first lunar month will see artistes from the Theatre display their free-of-charge performances in citywide districts as a move to bring the time-honoured traditional arts of the Quang Nam-Da Nang coastal area to local residents for Tet Festival. During the Tet holiday, a park on the eastern bank of the Dragon Bridge will be full of joyful ambiance with arts programes, including folk music and Bai Choi (singing while acting as playing cards) - resound chants of the Quang Region.
