Visitors to Da Nang will have the chance to enjoy stunning views of the central city from above through new helicopter tours which were kicked off on Saturday to mark the National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1).

The ‘Da Nang Heli tour’ service is operated by the Northern Viet Nam Helicopter Company, using a BELL 505 light helicopter completely imported from the U.S. This is the most modern and light tourist helicopter for the time being developed by the famous helicopter manufacturer Bell Helicopter in the U.S. and has just been put into commercial operation in 2019.

This helicopter carries one pilot and four passengers and the interior space is equipped with modern and maximum safety along with an open design, convenient for in-flight experience.

Flights depart from the former Nuoc Man airport in Ngu Hanh Son District.

Participating in the experience, visitors can admire the beautiful landscapes of the city such as the Marble Mountains, admire the beauty of five famous bridges spanning over the iconic Han River, contemplate the Linh Ung Pagoda, My Khe Beach and neighbouring Hoi An ancient town.

Da Nang Heli tours has 2 main tour packages. In detail, the ‘Exploration Tour’ with flight time of 12 minutes and the ‘Tour of Conquest’ with a duration of 30 minutes.

In the first phase of this flight survey campaign, the Northern Viet Nam Helicopter Company has launched a promotion programme during which a reduction of 25% is applicable to aerial sightseeing tours from April 28 to July 31, with prices ranging from VND2.14 million to VND2.4 million/passenger. Each flight serves 3 to 4 travelers.

This company has so far launched sightseeing helicopter tours over the Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh and many unique destinations such as: Sapa in Lao Cai Province, Mai Chau in Hoa Binh Province, Dien Bien Phu in Dien Bien Province, Phong Nha - Ke Bang and Son Doong Cave in Quang Binh Province and Trang An eco-tourism site in Ninh Binh.

Serving on the company-operated travel routes is a team of experienced pilots, all of who have been trained in the U.S, Russia and other developed countries. 100% of the pilots have been approved as commercial pilots by the Civil Aviation Administration of Vie Nam (CAAV), with high discipline spirit with thousands of hours of flight experience in complex helicopter services, ensuring absolute safety of tourists on each flight journey.

The Vietnam TravelMart Joint Stock Company is the coordinating unit to exploit this areal sightseeing service in Central Viet Nam.
