Press delegation visits Da Nang
Twenty-two foreign reporters recently arrived in Da Nang to survey the local tourist attractions and products. They are from large international media agencies such as CNN and NHK, and some key potential foreign tourist markets including Japan, South Korea, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, Russia, France, Italy and Germany.
During their stay in Da Nang, the group visited the city’s popular tourist attractions including the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Marble Mountains, the Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, and the Dragon and Han River bridges. They also enjoyed a city tour by cyclo, and took a sightseeing boat trip on the Han River.

The delegation also met with some of the city leaders and representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. They were briefed on the local tourism sector’s considerable achievements over recent years. In addition, they discussed measures to make Da Nang a safe and friendly destination for international visitors.
The visit is part of an “Exciting Viet Nam” campaign launched by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In addition to visiting Da Nang, the group have surveyed tourism products in other localities including Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hoi An, and Tien Giang Province.
