CPI predicted to up by 0.39% in May

Da Nang’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in May is expected to have gone up by 0.39% against April after two consecutive months of declines.
Over the month, the prices of 7 out of the 11 groups in the CPI calculations are likely to have increase slightly. The highest increase is predicted to be 2.41% up for transportation, due mainly to a 5.15% increase in fuel prices.
In addition, the prices of cultural, entertainment and tourism services are likely to have climbed by 0.63%, whilst those of goods and other services by 0.57%.
Houses and building materials prices are expected to have risen by 0.53%, mainly attributed to a 2.44% rise in gas price, along with a 0.38% and 0.78% increases in the prices of running water and electricity respectively.
