Following recent instructions from the Da Nang People’s Committee (PC), local relevant agencies will conduct research into the implementation of a model shopping area project along Phan Chau Trinh.  The new area will feature shops selling a wide range of products.

In detail, the Management Board of the city’s Priority Infrastructure Investment Project will be responsible for upgrading the current drainage systems and concrete kerbs along the street and replacing the existing pavement tiles with new ones.  The cost of these improvements will come from the World Bank-funded Sustainable Development Project in the city.

Meanwhile, the replacement of overhead power cables with underground ones will be implemented by the Da Nang Power Company, using preferential loans from the city’s Investment and Development Fund and the company’s capital.

The municipal Department of Information and Communications will appeal for local communications companies to move their existing overhead systems underground.

The Hai Chau District PC will encourage traders operating in Phan Chau Trinh to refurbish the fronts of their shops in a synchronous manner.

The above-mentioned agencies will have to submit their detailed reports on the project to the municipal PC for approval as soon as possible so that work can start on the project either at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
