Difficulties facing investors in Hi-tech Park
On Wednesday, representatives from the Da Nang Hi-tech Park Authority met with some of the investors operating there in order to hear issues of most concern to them.

The Chairman of Japan’s Tokyo Keiki Precision Technology Company, Mr Motoshi Mitobe, remarked that the park’s power supply system has been considerably improved. However, he complained that it usually takes about 30 minutes to manually switch between the 2 current sources when one has lost or gained power, and this has affected his company’s production activities.
General Director of the Niwa Foundry Da Nang Niwa Dai also raised his concern over the same matter.
The Director of the Da Nang Power Company, Mr Ngo Tan Cu, said that a 110kV transformer station with a maximum capacity of 80MW was put into use at the park in February. Mr Cu promised that his company would provide more support equipment for Tokyo Keiki Precision Technology Company and Niwa Foundry Da Nang in order to reduce the time taken to manually switch by at least 50%. He added that an automatic transfer switch system will be put into operation in the park by mid 2017, and the number of the electrical sources will be increased to 3.
As for water supplies for the park, a water supply plant with a capacity of 10,000m3 will be constructed in the park soon, and it is expected to be put into use in June 2018. Also, the park’s wastewater treatment plant will be put into operation by late October 2017.
With regard to IT and telecommunications networks at the park, the Head of the park Authority, Mr Phung Tan Viet, remarked that his agency will invite more prestigious IT and telecommunications service providers to operate in the park. Importance will be attached to completing the establishment of a broadcasting station and a Network Access Control (NAC) system in the park early next year.
Meanwhile, a representative from VNPT Da Nang said that the copper cables have already been replaced with fibre optic ones in order to ensure better access to the Internet in the park.
The municipal People’s Committee recently gave the go-ahead for the establishment of an infrastructure and service centre in the park early next month.
Mr Viet also vowed that all the matters raised by the park’s investors would be resolved by the end of next month.
