Encouraging more young people to develop start-up projects
The Da Nang Co-working Space (DNC) for local start-up businesses was recently put into operation at 31 Tran Phu. Also, the local authorities have issued effective policies for promoting the development of the local start-up community by 2020, with a vision towards 2030. Thanks to these, the city’s startup ecosystem is expected to gain more success in the years ahead, and the current gap between it and similar ones in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City will be considerably narrowed very soon.

Mr Do Son Duong, the founder cum CEO of Toong which is the first professional large-scale co-working space in Viet Nam, remarked “The DNC aims to offer a creative and dynamic working environment for local young start-up businesspeople in order to develop Da Nang into a start-up city in the near future”.
The first training course organised by the Da Nang Investment and Support Start-up Company (DNES) for start-up projects in the city concluded in July. At the end of this 6-month-long course, all the 8 projects have shown positive results in perfecting their products. The developers of such projects as Minh Hong and Tara have registered to set up their own businesses and they are now operating well in the city. Meanwhile, the developers of the remaining projects, including Zody, Vut Bay and Noi TOY, are now perfecting their products and promoting their commercial activities.
Following the success of the first training course, another 8 outstanding local start-up projects have already been chosen to participate in the second training course for 6 months. These projects are highly praised for their highly-practical applications. The developers of these projects are now very eager to deploy their projects.
The Chairman of the Da Nang Coordination Council for Business Start-up Network, Mr Vo Duy Khuong, affirmed, “Young people now find it easier to gain valuable start-up experiences from many countries worldwide”. He, therefore, stressed the need for them to be more confident and take the initiative to develop their start-up ideas and make their dreams come true. He added that success is often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable.
