14,000 railway tickets provided per day during Tet
The Viet Nam Railway Corporation has said there will be extra 15 pairs of trains running north to south and back before and during the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival (from 23 January to 22 February 2019).

At present, there are 5 pairs of trains regularly running on the North-South route, and 5 others for inter-provincial routes – Ha Noi-Vinh, HCM City-Quy Nhon, HCM City-Nha Trang, HCM City-Phan Thiet.
Amongst the trains added for the Tet period, 7 pairs of trains will serve the North-South route and 8 others will be for inter-provincial routes including Da Nang-HCM City, Quang Ngai-HCM City, Thanh Hoa-HCM City, Vinh-HCM City, Dong Hoi-HCM City.
On peak days during the Tet holiday, 25 pairs of trains will serve passengers with total expected train tickets of 14,000 per day.
Tet train tickets for groups are now available for sale on the Viet Nam Railways Corporation website, but tickets for individuals will be available from October 1. Passengers can buy tickets for the Tet period via: https://dsvn.vn/ ; www.vetau.com.vn; or at railway stations.
