During his recent interview with the DA NANG Newspaper, Ngu Hanh Son District Party Secretary Le Trung Chinh expressed his delight at the location’s stable economic growth.

The annual budget collections have reached or exceeded the targets, whilst the great progress has been recorded in education, and socio-cultural aspects.

Also, the material and spiritual lives of the local residents have been gradually enhanced.

During the 3 years of the implementation of the congress’s resolution, the district’s total production value of economic sectors reached over 6,590 billion VND, and the annual economic growth rate in 2017 - 2018 period was 25.69%, up 9.77% as set by the Resolution.

Also over the review period, the total taxes collected in the district hit over 1,290 billion VND.

From now until the end of the tenure, the district authorities will give suggestions to the municipal government about making adjustments to the district’s development strategies.

Accordingly, focus will be placed on adjusting the Ngu Hanh Son Cultural and Historical Park, the Da Nang University Village, and some projects on the occupation of urban areas and land speculation.

Also, specific plans will be compiled to effectively use 100 ha of agricultural land in Hoa Quy Ward.

Appeals for investment will be made to develop a trade centre on the southern side of the Tien Son Bride, and a number of small and medium-sized supermarkets and retail outlets in residential areas and tourist sites across the district.

Noticeably, one emphasis will be on promoting the development of economic aspects, creating preferential mechanisms to attract even more domestic and foreign investment into tourism and travel-related services.

In particular, in an attempt to foster the progress of tourism and trade, priority will be given to establishing a number of supermarkets, restaurants, shops, and tourist and service quarters.

Heed will also be paid to promoting the application of information technology in the handling of administrative procedures, and enhancing the competitiveness of businesses.

Proposals will be made for promoting the embellishment of relic sites in a bid to create even more attractive tourist products, and maintaining traditional trades.

Furthermore, attention will be paid to deal with overdue tax arrears and tax evasion, which both cause losses to the State budget, accelerating the completion of the city’s key projects in the district, ensuring the effective management of land, urban planning and order, and resolutely handling cases of land encroachment and illegal construction in the district.
