Covering a total area of 341ha, the over 120 million USD dedicated IP Park project features 2 stages.

To date, the construction of the 1st stage of the park has been already completed on 131ha with total investment of 47 million US$.

Meanwhile, the 74 million US$ 2nd stage will be implemented on an area of 210ha this year.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Deputy PM Dam said the Da Nang dedicated IT Park has been the largest of its kind in Viet Nam.

The inauguration of the 1st stage of the park showed the city’s active move in implementing Politburo's Resolution No 43-NQ/TW about building and promoting the development of Da Nang by 2030, with a vision towards 2045.

Located on the ring road on the western side of the city, the park has its design similar to the Silicon Valley model in the USA, and the Hsinchu Science Park in Taiwan, China. In the future, it is expected to become one of the best IT development communities in Asia.

The park is targeting to achieve annual revenue of 1.5 billion USD, create job opportunities for about 25,000 people, and attract even more IT and hi-tech investors, plus draw increasing number of scientists and engineers to work here.

Mr Dam, also, stressed the need for the Party, government and people to continue developing even more IT-related projects in order to fulfil its goal of becoming a pioneer centre in the central regional, and the country as a whole, in accessing new technologies, thereby enhancing the capacity of the city in approaching the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).

Mr Trung took the opportunity to ask the company to continue responding to the city’s ‘2019: The Year of Investment Promotion’ campaign. He, also, pledged that the municipal authorities would continue facilitating the park’s Authority to fulfill their above-mentioned targets.

On the same day, a road connecting the hi-tech Park and the dedicated Information Technology Park was open on a trial.
