First non-stop flight between Phnom Penh and Da Nang takes off
The first non-stop flight departing from Phnom Penh, operated by the Cambodia Angkor Air, landed at the Da Nang International Airport at 2:50pm on Sunday, carrying a total of 120 passengers.
In the ongoing initial period from 27 October to 31 December, the Phnom Penh - Da Nang air route is conducting 5 flights per week.
Flights depart from Phnom Penh at 1:30pm, and from Da Nang at 3:40pm (all in local time), on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The flight duration is approximately one hour and 20 minutes per leg for the new air service.
From 1 January 2020 onwards, the number of flights operating on this route is expected to increase to 7 per week.
The modern Airbus A321 aircrafts meeting 4-star service standards are utilised on the new air route.
From now until 31 December, one-way ticket prices set by the Cambodia Angkor Air for the Phnom Penh-Da Nang flight start from 50US$.
Amongst passengers on board the first flight between Phnom Penh and Da Nang were representatives from member companies of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents.
During their stay in Da Nang, the Cambodian visitors surveyed attractions, accommodation facilities and tourism services in the city in order to increase tourist arrivals in the 2 localities in the coming time.
The Cambodia Angkor Air currently operates a total of 4 routes connecting the 2 countries with each other with a total of 112 flights per week, including the Siem Reap - Da Nang service with a frequency of 1 flight per day.
