Discussion about solutions for development of Southeast Asia's paper industry held in the city

As many as 250 delegates from the Pulp and Paper associations in Southeast Asia and Asia attended the 34th Southeast Asia Pulp and Paper Industries Conference in Da Nang on Friday. They came from such countries as Japan, China, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, and Viet Nam.

The international event is held annually and alternately in member countries with the aim of promoting the development of pulp and paper industry in Southeast Asia and Asian nations.

During the conference, each of member countries from the Southeast Asia Pulp and Paper Association introduced the participants to the growth of paper industry, as well as share their experience in production and business activities.

Also, trends in paper production and consumption, plus solutions for boosting development of the paper industry, were presented by participating experts in the paper industry during the event.

Besides, the participants pointed out some difficulties faced by the paper industry, including the gap between supply and demand of raw materials, and how to save energy and ensure the environmental protection during paper production process.
