The Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company announced on Thursday that it has temporarily suspended the operation of several train routes, including the Ha Noi-Da Nang route, because passenger numbers have declined sharply as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Two pairs of daily trains, SP1/2 and SP3/4, running between Ha Noi and Lao Cai Province have their operation halted since February.

The company has also stopped the daily operation of the SE19/SE20 trains travelling on the Ha Noi - Da Nang route starting from today, 19 March.
