The Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment statistics show the value of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Da Nang was 79.434 million USD in the first quarter of 2020.

Between January and March, Da Nang attracted a total of 79.434 million USD from FDI projects.

In details, the municipal government granted the investment licences for 41 new FDI projects totalling 74.371 million USD. In addition, 3 existing FDI projects increased their investment capital by over 5 million USD.

To date, Da Nang has attracted 844 valid FDI projects from countries and territories worldwide, with a total investment standing at 3.473 billion USD.

During the 3-month period, the municipal government also granted investment policy decisions to two new domestic investment projects, totalling  7,710 billion VND (more than 330 million USD). This has brought the total number of domestic investment projects in the city to 335 with a total registered investment capital of 112,608  billion VND (approximately 5 billion USD) .

Moreover, the municipal authorities have issued investment registration certificates to 2 housing projects totalling 900 billion VND under the country’s Housing Law.

Besides, the capital contribution and the purchase of shares by 57 foreign investors reached a combined total of over 5 million USD between January and March.
