Da Nang retailers commit to not raise prices of essential goods

Such big retailers in Da Nang as Co.opmart Da Nang, Co.opmart Son Tra, Big C Mall, MM Mega Market on Monday, August 30, announced their commitment to ensure the supply of food items, and not raise prices of essential goods. In addition, essential items are included in their lists of promotional products with discounts between 20% and 30%.

Since May 5, Co.opmart Da Nang has publicized prices of its products, committing to keep prices of essential items stable for its customers despite price fluctuations for its supply sources. In addition, between 20% and 30% of the sales is made on some essential items in Saigon Co.op's supermarket chains.

You can save 20% -30% off certain sale items at Co.opmart supermarket chain in Da Nang. Promotional items include cooking oil, sugar, rice, spices, sauces, packaged and frozen foods, nutrition drinks, cosmetics, detergents, washing powder.

In a similar move, the MM Mega Market is offering 20% discount on many products until September 9.

 “Prices of all essential items in MM Mega Market have been kept almost stable during the past time. In addition, the supermarket is running a series of weekly promotional deals for its customers with discounts between 15% and 20% on hundreds of products”, said Mr Nguyen Tien Duong, the Director of MM Mega Market.

Big C Mall is running promotions on its products from August 26 to September 9. Previously, the supermarket had offered a special discount on many products included in the list of essential goods with up to 30% off.

All promotions launched by Da Nang retailers aim to support the suggestion by the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade to make sure that the city's continuity of its supply chain and food security are safeguarded while local residents are under strict stay-at-home order.
