Between January and July, the supplies of land plots, townhouses, villas and shophouse saw a slight increase in Da Nang and the neighbouring province of Quang Nam, according to a report released on August 30, by the DKRA Vietnam Joint Stock Company on the real estate and housing market in the 2 localities.

In particular, in the land plot segment, the new supply in Da Nang increased slightly, mainly concentrated along the two banks of the Co Co River and projects recently launching sales.

In the apartment segment, Da Nang had 236 newly launched apartments for sale, mainly in Ngu Hanh Son District, and the consumption rate reached 55%.

Despite difficulties triggered by the COVID-19 resurgence, some projects in the apartment segment were still introduced to the market and highly praised by customers. This shows that the real estate and housing market in Central Viet Nam still boast a lot of potential and opportunities to bounce back and develop on right track after the virus wave is put under control.

During the review period, the supplies of townhouses, villas and shophouses in Da Nang climbed slightly with 2 newly- launched projects, mainly shophouses with 106 units and the consumption rate reached 87%. New supply sources were concentrated in Son Tra and Hai Chau districts.

According to the forecast by the DKRA Vietnam Joint Stock Company, the consumption of land plots may recover slightly by the end of 2021 if the pandemic is well controlled.

Customers may continue to be interested in land plot offering projects that complete legal procedures and synchronous construction infrastructure, with transparent investment progress.

Meanwhile, the consumption of the segment of townhouses and villas is predicted to make a certain recovery. The secondary selling price level will not change much, and the market will not report a sell-off situation.

With regard to the resort real estate segment, the supply is likely to go up if the pandemic is contained soon. Projects will be mainly concentrated along the coastal roads of Vo Nguyen Giap, Truong Sa in Da Nang and Lac Long Quan in Quang Nam Province. The consumption may rebound but remains at a low level, focusing on newly - launched projects developed by large and reputable investors.
