The Da Nang Market Management Bureau has seized more than 43,000 foreign confectionery products without any invoices, receipts and other relevant papers during a surprise raid at 37 Nhon Hoa Street No. 5, Hoa An Ward, Cam Le District.

In particular, amongst the seized goods were a large number of Chinese-made moon cakes without legality approved. These types of cakes often fail to meet the mandatory food safety and hygiene regulations, posing many health risks to consumers. 

It is known that confectionery products for consumption during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival are not as abundant as in previous years due to the adverse impacts of the current COVID-19 wave. However, the municipal Market Management Bereau has still strengthened supervision in order to promptly detect illegal acts in the production and trade of goods and services.
