Da Nang ready to welcome back international tourists safely
The Da Nang Department of Tourism has created specific plans for welcoming back vaccinated international tourists under the pilot scheme approved by the municipal government.

The focus has been on publicizing widely the procedures and conditions for welcoming international tourists, promoting international tourism for Da Nang among domestic and foreign tourism businesses, diplomatic missions in Viet Nam and Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad along with international travellers.
The Department will conduct appraisals and the selection process for service providers to serve international tourists before November 30, and will announce the list of authorized providers as soon as possible.
Travel agencies will introduce tours and combo deals offered by authorized service to their international guests. Combo tours are expected to include a golf vacation package that is a great combination of golf and accommodation, and holiday entertainment tours.
In addition, the department plans to organize training courses on professional skills, customer service skills, infection prevention and control measures, cleaning and disinfection activities, the incident management process. The heed is paid on developing scenarios for welcoming foreign guests and conducting exercises and drills for welcoming them. In addition, the health agency is implementing a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination program for tourism workers in the city in order to make sure that all of them are fully vaccinated within November.
International visitors who are expected to visit Da Nang in November and December, 2021 until February 2022 are mainly overseas Vietnamese in South Korea, Japan and more.
It is expected that the Hanatour Company will welcome 1,500 foreign guests a month, the Mode Company with about 3,000 foreign guests from December 2021 to March 2022, the Anex company with 2,000-4,000 Russian guests per month, the Highland Marketing Company with 600 guests in December 2021 and 1,500 guests in January and February 2022, the His Song Han Company with 300 guests in December 2021, and more.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism has also announced a three-phase roadmap for welcoming back international guests. Phase 1 began in November 2021 with the selection process for authorized service providers to serve international guests. Phase 2 will begin in January 1, 2022 with the expansion of the scope of international tourists by connecting destinations through regular charter and international commercial flights.
Foreign guests can participate in tourism programs to visit 5 localities namely Da Nang, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang which have been given green light by the national government during phase 1.
Viet Nam will fully open to international tourists in phase 3 and the starting time of which will be based on the COVID-19 situation and the assessment of the two previous phases.
