A handful of solutions for the sustainable development of M.I.C.E (Meetings-Incentives-Conferences-Exhibitions) tourism in Da Nang over the 2021-2025 period were discussed at a webinar hosted by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre on November 18.

The online event saw the attendance of representatives from travel businesses and MICE organisers in Da Nang and other localities nationwide such as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong.

According to a report released at the webinar by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, during nearly 2 months of piloting support policies for M.I.C.E delegations to Da Nang (from March 15 to April 26, 2021), the Centre advised and supported 9 M.I.C.E delegations with a total of 3,120 guests. The policies will continue to be carried out from now till at the end of this year, and are expected to be officially applied in 2022.

In his remarks at the event, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh said 2021 was the first year that Da Nang had pioneered in piloting support policies for M.I.C.E delegations, thereby creating positive movements in the aspect of service tourism, targeting M.I.C.E.

During the webinar, online attendees discussed trends shaping the future of M.I.C.E tourism, as well as proposed long-term solutions for the sustainable M.I.C.E tourism development in the city.
