Da Nang government is seeking the permission from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, to pilot a cooperation programme on serving international visitors with Quang Nam Province.

The move came after a surge in demand from authorized tour operators to serve international tourists, and the approval given by the Quang Nam Province People’s Committee.

The intention of the cooperation programme is to increase tourist numbers to Central Viet Nam, and enhance the competitiveness of Da Nang and Quang Nam Province as compared with other destinations in the country and around the world.

After getting the approval from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, both Da Nang and Quang Nam Province will take the initiative to connect local tourism service providers that are eligible to serve international tourists, thereby facilitating the tour operators to add them to the list of places to visit in the localities in their tours under the temporary guidance No. 4122/HD-BVHTTDL issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on piloting to welcome back international visitors to Viet Nam starting from early next year.

Earlier, on December 15, the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee sent Document No. 9010/UBND-KGVX to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism to ask for permission to connect with Da Nang to welcome back international tourists starting from January 1, 2022.
