Increasing two-way flights on Ha Noi – HCM City - Da Nang route from December to meet year-end travel demand
The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport has already given the go-ahead to the increasing of the flight frequency on domestic routes, especially the Ha Noi - HCM City - Da Nang from December 1.
In detail, there are a maximum of 16 two-way flights per day on each of the Ha Noi-HCM City, Ha Noi-Da Nang and Da Nang-HCM City routes from December 1 – 14, and this figure will go up to 20 on those three routes from December 15 onwards.
Approval has also been given to the increasing of flight frequency on other domestic routes to nine per day from the current four.
In particular, the Ministry has requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV), depending on the real situation, to adjust the frequency on flight routes in a bid to meet the travel needs during the New Year and Lunar New Year (Tet) 2022.
Under the current regulations, for the time being, all passengers must meet such conditions as owning certificates of full vaccination against COVID-19 or recovery from this highly contagious disease, and testing negative to SARS-CoV-2.
Besides, all of them have to make health declarations before boarding, using the PC-COVID application.
Passengers are not permitted to board the flight if they show some suspicious symptoms as a cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle ache, sore throat and loss of taste.
CAAV has announced that it completely agrees with the Health Ministry’s proposal on the suspension of international flights to and from African countries, including South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Lesotho and Mozambique due to the emergence of Omicron variant there.
