The total retail sales of consumer goods and services in Da Nang is estimated to have reached about VND7,500 billion in November 2021, up 11.7% against the previous month and equaling 94.1% as compared to the same month last year, according to the Da Nang Statistics Bureau.

Of which, the proportion of retail activities accounted for 76% of the total.

As accumulated, the total retail sales of consumer goods and services recorded over the past 11 months are estimated at VND75,049 billion, equaling 98.7% of the figure recorded in the same period last year. Of this, only retail sales of goods achieved a positive growth with an increase of 7.3%.

In November 2021 alone, the total retail sales of goods is predicted to have reached nearly VND5,701 billion, up 12.7% over the previous month and 7% over the same period in 2020.

In which, the total retail sales at supermarkets and trade centers are expected to have generated an estimated VND22 billion, up 4.6% against the month earlier and equaling 75.5% over the same period last year.

In general, for the first 11 months of 2021, retail sales of goods are estimated to go up by 7.3% from the same period in 2020 to reach at VND54,873 billion.

In detail, 7 out of the 12 commodity groups achieved positive growth whilst a number of product groups with a large proportion recorded an increase which is higher than the general average, including food and foodstuffs up 19.1%; other commodity groups 12.9%; and cultural and educational items 15.6%.
