Da Nang's revenue from accommodation and catering services in Q2 of 2022 up by 48%
According to the recently-released report on socio-economic development, defence and security in Da Nang in the first half of 2022 and tasks for the second half, since the first quarter of 2022, many tourist areas and attractions have welcomed a large number of guests, the average room capacity on weekends is 70 - 75%.
Specifically, the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area welcomed more than 350,000 visitors, an increase of 95% compared to the same period in 2021.
Likewise, the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park welcomed more than 75,000 visitors, up nearly 90%; Asia Park with more than 136,000 visitors, the Marbles Mountains special national scenic spot with nearly 135,000 visitors.
From February 21 to May 21, 2022, Da Nang welcomed 18 MICE (Meetings-Incentives-Conferences-Exhibitions) delegations with a combined total of more than 7,200 visitors, an increase of 8 times compared to the same period in 2021.
Revenue from accommodation and catering services in the second quarter of 2022 was estimated to go up by 48% over the same period in 2021. In particular, the revenue of accommodation services in the second quarter climbed by 2.8 times over the same period, pushing the 6-month revenue up to 41%.
The value added (VA) of the accommodation and catering industry in the second quarter was estimated to increase by 71.31% over the year-ago period, contributing 3.77 percentage points to the overall increase, record an estimated growth of 11.67% in the first half of 2022 (contributing 0.76 percentage points), with the contribution proportion estimated at 10.52% in the general increase of the first half.
Compared to the same period in 2021, the VA in the accommodation and catering services industry in the first half of 2022 soared up by 12.81%.
