Financial aids for intellectual property development for Da Nang products were announced at a seminar on Thursday held by the Centre for Energy Saving and Technology Transfer Consulting under the municipal Department of Science and Technology on the construction, management and development of intellectual property and announced the protection title for local collective economic organisations.

Currently, programmes to support the development of intellectual property help organisations, individuals and State management agencies to establish industrial property rights, encourage investment in professional production and business operations as well as orient a development plan to protect industrial property rights for local speciality and potential products.

Regarding this issue, the Da Nang People’s Council has issued Resolution No. 62/2021/NQ-HDND dated December 17, 2021 on stipulating the level of support for the registration of intellectual property protection up to 2030 for inventions, industrial designs and trademarks, the registration for the protection and recognition of new plant varieties under the Intellectual Property Development Program to 2030.

As for domestic protection registration, the municipal administration has given a nod to VND30 million/application for patent protection applications and registration for the protection and recognition of new plant varieties; VND15 million/protection title with industrial design and trademark registration applications.

As for overseas protection registration, VND60 million/application for protection registration applications for inventions, industrial designs and trademarks; registration for the protection and recognition of new plant varieties has also been approved.
