City leaders pay post-Tet visits to businesses and key projects
On Monday morning, some of Da Nang’s leaders made their attendance at ceremonies to start a new working year at a number of businesses and key projects in the locality.

In his speech delivered at the ceremony at the Lien Chieu Port’s shared infrastructure project, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang highly praised the initial results of the project. He, at the same time, urged the local Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects to actively implement the tasks according to its assigned responsibilities, and contractors to mobilize all workers and equipment to ensure the progress of construction, and the quality of the work.

During his post-Tet visit to the Sun Group JSC, Secretary Quang recognised the group's important achievements and results in the past year, contributing to raising the position and the value of the country in the regional and world map.

He also highly lauded the continuous efforts made by the Group over the past year in overcoming difficulties and challenges of the world economy in general and the domestic economy in particular in a bid to promote the post-pandemic tourism recovery.

Mr. Quang highly appreciated the Group's communications activities in attracting more visitors to the city. He hoped that communications units in the city will continue to better promote the image of the group, and other tourist attractions in the city as a whole in the coming time.
He asked for efforts from the group to maintain the annual Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - one of the unique products of Da Nang; as well as better promote new products of Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area and Asia Park.

For his part, Mr. Nguyen Minh Truong, Chairman of the Sun Group JSC, thanked the city leaders for a very meaningful visit to his company in early 2023.
He informed that, during the Tet holiday 2023, the Sun World Ba Na Hill Tourist Area welcomed about 55,000 visitors. Compared to other destinations of Sun Group in the country, destinations in Da Nang have growth but slower than other areas such as Tay Ninh, Phu Quoc, etc.
He, therefore, asked for support from the municipal government for his company to remove existing difficulties to go ahead and take the lead in attracting visitors.

Also on the same day, municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People’s Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet attended a ceremony to start a new working year at the social housing project for people with meritorious services to the revolution on Vu Mong Nguyen Street in Khue My Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.
Mr. Triet emphasised the meaningful project expressed the national tradition of ‘when drinking water, remember its source’. He asked the city's Management Board of Industrial and Civil Engineering Construction and Investment Projects, construction units and supervision consultants to ensure the on-schedule progress and the quality and safety of the project.
The project is a grade 2 civil work featuring 12 storeys, one basement and one attic floor. Its construction is expected to be completed and put into use on June 19, 2024.

When attending launching ceremony at the beginning of the year at the Ngo Quyen - Ngu Hanh Son route upgrade project (the segment from Vo Van Kiet to Ho Xuan Huong streets), Deputy Secretary Triet urged construction units to develop a specific construction plan, and ensure the committed progress of the project.
Speaking at the ceremony at the Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School upgrade project at 154 Le Loi Street on Monday, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh highly appreciated investors and contractors for their great efforts to ensure the progress, quality and technical requirements of the project.

He directed the Office of the municipal People's Committee and the Department of Planning and Investment to carry out the necessary procedures to adjust the investment policy and supplement investment funds for a number of items of the project.
During his attendance at the ceremony at the 3rd stage of the existing Hoa Xuan wastewater treatment plant in Cam Le District, Chairman Chinh remarked that, over the years, the city has always paid special attention to environmental protection works, especially wastewater treatment ones.

He required investors, contractors and supervision consultants to make every effort to ensure that the construction of the project will be completed in March, 2023 and the installation of equipment will be done in June 2023, and the project will be put into trial operation in October 2023.
