On Monday morning, January 23, the second day of the Lunar New Year 2023, a ceremony to welcome the first international tourist cruise ship to the Da Nang-based Tien Sa Port took place here.

The Silver Spirit cruise ship, operated by Italy-headquartered Silversea company, brought more than 500 tourists to the central coastal hub of tourism.

It is known that the last time the Silver Spirit ship docked at the Tien Sa Port was on February 18, 2020, carrying about 200 high-class tourists from Europe who visited destinations and scenic spots in Da Nang and the neighbouring city of Hoi An in Quang Nam Province.

As revealed by Mr. Tan Van Vuong, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in the coming time, the city's tourism industry will continue to promote the cruise tourism market because this is one of the important sources of tourists, significantly contributing to diversifying the city’s international tourist markets.

The goal of the local tourism industry is to soon restore the number of 101 cruise ships docking at the Tien Sa Port as recorded in 2019.
