Choosing investors good at modern technology for Lien Chieu Port project: Deputy PM
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested Da Nang to choose investors having the smartest and most effective design thinking, especially those who have strong financial background and are good at technology and techniques, to design and build the Lien Chieu Port during his Wednesday field visit to the construction site of the port.

“In terms of seaport engineering design, we are not as good as many foreign investors, so we should invite good investors to cooperate” he emphasised.
According to the Da Nang Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects - the investor of the project, the shared infrastructure of the project has a total investment of VND3,426.3 billion, including such main items as construction of dikes and breakwater systems with a length of about 1,170m; navigation channels with a length of about 7.3km, a width of 160m and the dredged bottom elevation of -14.0m, the navigational signaling system belonging to first-grade traffic works.
The would-be route has a length of nearly 3km, a width of 30m and 6 lanes, allowing vehicles to run at a speed of 60km per hour.

Till date, the value of the implemented volume has reached about VND407 billion, reaching 15.5% of the contract volume value. In particular, in terms of dikes and breakwater items, the installation of a geotechnical mesh with the strength of 1000/200KN/m has been completed. The dredging of the foundation pit of the breakwater systems reached 210,392m3/245,000m3, whilst 300m out of the 1,170m of embankment has been built.
