On Friday, the Center for Industrial and Trade Promotion under the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade handed over machinery and equipment, totalling over VND10 billion, for 9 manufacturing facilities and businesses in the city under industrial promotion.

Of which, more than VND1.86 billion comes from the industrial promotion funding, whilst the remaining over VND8.13 billion is from the buúinesses.

Specifically, the Industrial Promotion Programme supports 2 businesses to build pilot models on applying cleaner production in industry, and 7 units to build technology transfer and demonstration models, and technical advances in industrial production; producing handicrafts, souvenirs, and tourism products.

The Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion recommends that beneficiary units continue to promote and effectively exploit supported machinery and equipment, actively invest and develop to improve production capacity.

At the same time, the units continue to research technical features, train people to operate the equipment and carry out regular maintenance regimes to ensure the most effective operation of the equipment.

According to Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thi Thuy Mai, in the coming time, the department hopes that the recipients will promote the effectiveness of the supported machinery and equipment, thereby improving their productivity and production capacity, creating competitive products, and contributing to the city’s overall economic development.
