In 5 months, Da Nang's tourism revenue up by 52%
According to a report on Viet Nam’s socio-economic situation recently announced by the National General Statistics Office, in the first five months of 2024, the number of international visitors to Viet Nam reached nearly 7.6 million, an increase of 64.9% over the same period in 2023. Of this, visitors arriving by air accounted for 83.7%, by road 14.2% and by sea for 2.1%.

Travel tourism revenue reached VND 24,200 billion, a rise of 45.1% over the same period in 2023. Outstandingly, some localities recorded a quite high increase over the same period such as Da Nang with 52%; the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City 46%; the capital city of Ha Noi 44.6%.
The total retail sales of consumer goods and services at current prices were estimated at VND 2.58 million billion, up 8.7% over the same period last year. Da Nang was one of the localities that continued to grow in the service industry with retail sales of goods climbing by 8.2%.
Also encouragingly, the accommodation and food service revenue went up by 22.2% over the same period in 2023.
