Following recent approval by Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung, music will be played on Saturdays and Sundays when the dragon’s head at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge breathes fire and squirts water.

Three different musical scores will be used in rotation.  The scores are based on 3 legendary Vietnamese songs, namely ‘Huyen Thoai Ngu Hanh Son’ (The Legend of the Marble Mountains), ‘Huyen Dieu Song Han’ (The Fantastic Han River), and ‘Noi Rong Ve Khai Hoa’ (A Place Where the Dragon Returns to Deliver Eggs).

The music will be played for 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after 9pm when the dragon’s head breathes fire and squirts water.  A total of 6 100-400W speakers will be installed on pillars positioned along the bridge and at its eastern and western ends.

The new musical effects will first be heard on Lunar New Year's Eve (7 February) and will then remain as a feature of each dragon performance.
