City to be lit up tonight with spectacular fireworks displays by China and the UK teams
Tonight, 27 May, the 3rd night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2017 will begin with a fireworks display by Team China, and the UK Team’s performance will follow. The theme for this evening is ‘Metal’.

The 2 teams are expected to produce their wonderful performances featuring the most advanced and modern fireworks technologies.
Team Liuyang Dancing Fireworks from China won first and second prizes at the Da Nang International Firework competitions in 2009 and 2012 respectively. The team have displayed at such large-scale events in China as the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the opening ceremony of the Shanghai World Expo 2010. A total of over 2,000 low and medium-level, and different-sized fireworks will be used by the Chinese team.The audience will be treated to a romantic love story with 5 chapters.
The Head of the team, Mr Zhong Liang, remarked that DIFF 2017 offers a big opportunity for his team to introduce themselves as well as their country’s culture and its people to international friends. The Chinese contestants want to convey a meaningful message that they would like all the audience members to welcome them and love their show.

Founded in 1999, Pyrotex Fireworx is among the leading family pyrotechnic companies in the UK. All of the fireworks displays by this team feature incredible colours and unique effects that will excite and surprise the audience members.
Prestigious awards which Pyrotex Fireworx won last year include a first prize at the Internaitonal Fireworks Festival Knokke-Heist, a gold medal at International Festival of Dancing Fireworks Public, and the Champion of Philippine International Pyromusical Competition.
This is the first time that Pyrotex Fireworx has participated in this festival. Many top songs will be chosen to highlight the theme of tonight – Metal.
The Head of the team, Mr Mark Kelsall, remarked that their upcoming performance will boast classical, modern and pop music, thereby helping the spectators to enjoy the beauty of fireworks, and the whole display in general. The latest fireworks technology will also be applied in the show.
The team’s performance will show off a perfect harmony between enchanting background music and sparkling colours in a bid to stir up different emotions in the audience members.
Mr Joe Ghazzal, the Director of Global2000 International from Malaysia who are the consultants for DIFF 2017, affirmed that both teams will be using the most advanced and modern fireworks technologies. Team China will use their own firework launching system, while the British contestants will use the US systems and technologies.
