The Da Nang People's Committee has released an action plan to implement the ‘Da Nang Bookshelf’ project for the 2018 - 2020 period.

Located inside the Da Nang General Science Library at 46 Bach Dang, with its slogan ‘A rendezvous for Da Nang lovers’, the bookshelf features a large number of writings and scientific works, composed by authors in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province, on such aspects as literature, culture, arts, history, economics, and technology.

In addition, other interesting works about Da Nang and Quang Nam, which are written by authors nationwide, are also introduced to local readers.

The placement of this bookshelf aims to create an attractive cultural space for those who show the special love for Da Nang, and to encourage even more writers to create their own works showcasing the beauty of the land and people of the city.

Moreover, the intention is to promote a healthy reading habit amongst local residents, which in turn will help to further the city's reading culture.

The municipal Department of Culture and Sports is in charge of presiding over the implementation of the ‘Da Nang Bookshelf’, which is scheduled to run until the end of 2020, with the funds from the city budget and private investment sources.
