The 12th Japanese Film Festival (JFF) in Viet Nam, organsied by the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Viet Nam, is getting underway between 25 December, 2020 and 22 January, 2021, attracting lots of public attention.

Under the month-long festival, 14 high quality renowned Japanese movies across such various genres as comedy, family, crime, anime, documentary, musical and sci-fi will be introduced to Vietnamese movie fans.

Notable amongst the artsworks are such movies which have attracted a lot of support and applause amongst the Japanese public as ‘Not quite dead yet’, ‘One night’, ‘All Amok’ and ‘Stolen identity’,  and two highly enticing cartoons, namely ‘Hey, Love!’ and ‘Braided hair’.

As scheduled, JFF Viet Nam will be organised in two ways: JFF Real (Japanese film screenings at cinema) and JFF Online (Japanese film screenings online).

In detail, boasting the screening of four movies, the JFF Real is now progressing from 25 to 31 December, 2020 at the Ha Noi-based National Cinema Centre. However, the screening schedule for HCM City is being delayed due to the recent coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile, the recently-developed website for the JFF Online will run from 13 to 22 January, 2021.

The soon-to-open website shows off ten movies of different genres with flexible screening schedules and no limit of viewers. Like others nationwide, Da Nang movie lovers, therefore, can watch ‘Japanese Films Anytime, Anywhere”’.

All the films are screened with both English and Vietnamese subtitles.
