After going virtual for two years, Da Nang International Marathon back on track to success
After going virtual for the last two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Manulife Da Nang International Marathon (DNIM) 2022 was back with a conventional gathering, and maintained it as an international-level event.
The activities of the DNIM 2022 concluded with success on Sunday morning after two exciting days of competition.

The Da Nang International Marathon officially started at 3:00 a.m on March 20 and ended at 8:30 a.m on the same day.
In his remarks at the awards ceremony for the DNIM 2022, Mr Nguyen Trong Thao, the Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports highlighted the efforts of the Da Nang government, relevant agencies along with the organizers and sponsors to make the Da Nang International Marathon successful.
He also underlined the importance of the DNIM 2022 in not only bringing health benefits to marathon runners, but also providing an opportunity for Da Nang to strengthen and enhance its reputation and fame in a bid to encourage more visits to the city, and Viet Nam at large.
With nearly 5,000 participants, the marathon witnessed a great competition between the runners and the results were as follows:
10 KM – Male:
First place (Tran Dang An, – time: 0:35.50)
Second place (Le Minh Tuan – time: 0:43.04)
Third place (Buckely Darren- time: 0:44.37)
10 KM – Female:
First place (Nguyen Thi Duong – time: 0:43.54)
Second place (Phung Chuyen – time: 0:52.32)
Third place (Nguyen Hong Suong – time: 0:58.13)
21 KM - Male:
First place (Deichmann Florian - time 1:22.22)
Second place (Nhat Thuy Mai – time: 1:25.55)
Third place (Foster Aaron – time: 1:28.53)
21 KM - Female:
First place (Pham Nga – time: 1:45.42)
Second place (Greenwood Sasha Jade - time: 1:47.13)
Third place (Nguyen Trang – time: 1:47.45)
42 KM - Male:
First place (Bui Van Da – time: 2:57.09)
Second place (Nguyen Huu Manh – time: 3:11.00)
Third place (Truong Ngoc Anh – time: 3:15.42)
42 KM - Female:
First place (Tran Thi Hoa – time: 3:32.42)
Second place (Hoang Lan Anh – time: 3:44.03)
Third place (Nguyen Ngot – time: 3:48.16)
In conclusion, Mr Thao said that the organizers appreciate and acknowledge the spirit and efforts of the athletes to sucessfully complete their race distances. He wanted to extend a big salute to each and every participating marathon runners, as well as give a big salute to the spirit of sport and and efforts of them during the competition.
