The Viet Nam-Russia cultural exchange programme 2023 took place in Da Nang on Sunday. Co-organised by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations, the city branch of the Viet Nam - Russia Friendship Association, the Consulate General of Russia in Da Nang, along with some relevant agencies and units, it attracted 500 locals and Russian nationals who are living and working in Da Nang.

In his remarks at the programme, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that the purpose of the programme was to help Vietnamese and Russian people learn about and exchange cultures with each other, thereby contributing to tightening the friendship and development cooperation between the people of Da Nang and Russia.

In the coming time, Da Nang will continue to promote cooperation in tourism, trade, education and people-to-people exchange activities with some Russian localities such as Yaroslav, Briansk and others, he added.

The cultural exchange programme featured many special performances by Vietnamese and Russian artists, students of the Russian Language Department of the Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies, and members of the city branch of the Viet Nam - Russia Friendship Association.

Additionally, locals and tourists had the opportunity to visit food and product booths from businesses based in Da Nang and some neighbouring localities, along with Russian businesses operating in Viet Nam.
