The Museum of Cham Sculpture was built in 1915, and opened to visitors in 1919. Situated in the heart of the city, the museum features French architectural style in the early 20th century and some unique structural characteristics of Cham towers in the central region.

Also, the Museum is home to collections of typical religious art sculptures from the 5th to 14th - 15th centuries of the Cham culture.

In recent years, the Museum of Cham Sculpture has achieved many outstanding achievements in preserving and promoting heritage values, especially in preparing documents to submit the Prime Minister to recognise 6 national treasures. It attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

In 2021, the museum building was classified as a municipal-level historical relic. This is the city's worthy recognition for the historical, cultural, scientific and artistic values that the museum is preserving. The recognition of the museum as a municipal-level historical relic contributes to creating favourable conditions for the museum to manage and preserve relics, attracting visitors, and implementing cultural promotion and tourism development programmes in the locality.

On the occasion, the museum opened a gallery for Cham culture which is renovated and upgraded from the gallery of traditional festivals and crafts of Cham people in Ninh Thuan Province.

The newly-opened gallery applies new display methods in terms of pedestals, lighting, and scene simulation. It features over 150 artifacts in 6 topics, providing a complete overview of the life, culture, and beliefs of the Cham community across the country.
