Plans mapped out to welcome Da Nang pupils back from other localities before Oct. 1
The Da Nang Department of Education and Training is closely coordinating with relevant agencies to complete and submit specific plans to the municipal People's Committee for approval on allowing Da Nang pupils and teachers who are now getting stuck in other cities and province countrywide to make comebacks before October 1.
Under the plans, only those who are in ‘green and yellow zones’ in other localities will be allowed to return to Da Nang.
All of the would-be returnees must be subject to mandatory medical quarantine and have their swab samples taken for the testing of SARS-CoV-2.
The list of returnees is classified based on specific provinces and cities for the arrangement of the reasonable time frame for their home comebacks, which is expected to be from September 25 - 30.
According to the municipal Department of Education and Training, as of September 14, a total of about 8,000 teachers and pupils hailing from Da Nang were stranded in 55 other provinces and cities across Viet Nam due to the COVID-19 outbreak, a sharp increase as compared to the previous statistics of more than 2,000).
The re-check over the correct number of would-be returnees are being underway.
