220 disadvantaged pupils and students in Da Nang granted Vu A Dinh scholarships

The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the ‘For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa’ Club jointly held a get-together for their members in Da Nang, and the provinces of Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue at the Da Nang Children's Palace on Wednesday.

During the event, the ‘For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa’ Club admitted 44 new members, bringing the total number of club individual members to 3,021 and its collective members to 135.

At the same time, the club’s leaders briefed their members, and participating Youth Union officials and students, on current situations of the world and the East Sea.

On the occasion, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund awarded 220 scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year to 20 ethnic minority students, 100 students who are children of officers and soldiers of the Navy Region 3, and 100 students who are children of officials of the Fisheries Surveillance Division No. 3.

In addition, the event’s organising board plans to present 840 scholarships to ethnic minority students, and children of Navy officers and soldiers and poor fishermen, in coastal provinces of Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh and Quang Nam.
